STORM SET TO HIT CYPRUS

Cyprus’ Meteorology Department has set out a yellow alert on account of upcoming thunderstorms.

The alert includes issuing an advisory that warned of high winds, dense rain and potential hail.

The Met Department said that while the storm (named Bora) has become weaker since hitting Greece, it can still cause isolated and localized disturbances.

The intensity of the rain is expected to lie somewhere between thirty-five & fifty-five mm per hour.

They might also be accompanied by gusts of harsh winds.

The public has been asked to be cautious, especially in the spaces that are vulnerable to winds, thunderstorms and floods.
