Over 200 fines were awarded to truck drivers, as part of a brand-new policing campaign that focuses on the operation of heavy vehicles.
The campaign, which is aimed at improving road safety, had 203 fines issued within a total of 247 inspections. Another one fine was issued out of 80 bus inspections.
The campaign is a small part of the larger initiative by the Roadpol European Traffic Police Network’s member countries.
