A 4.8 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the sea – between Turkey and the island nation of Cyprus.
The earthquake happened in the early hours of morning.
It was originally reported as a 5.1 magnitude earthquake by the European-Mediterranean seismological center (EMSC), but was later revised to 4.8.
Specifically, the earthquake happened over sixty kilometers off of the Turkish city of Alanya.
